Beware of what lives on...

Dear Cassy,

I'm really sorry if this is hard for you to understand, but I've felt for a long time now that this picture shouldn't be kept from the world any longer. You hair is teased too well, your lace too voluminous, and your pumps too ivory to be hidden.
Our nation must be reminded of the beliefs we once clung to (and the dyed-to-match shoe craze) that we have struggled so long and hard to overcome. We must never forget!!

Thank you for no longer dressing like a crazed Aquanet-huffing lunatic. The post 80's world thanks you as well.

Your loving sister,

Micaela

P.S. It is to your credit that even with this absolute crackfest of an outfit, you still look adorable.

Cassie! Hysterical! Who's wedding was this anyway? Or was it a nasty prom? I have some pretty sad photos from an 80's winter dance somewhere . . . .

Where on earth did you find that picture? Yes, that was prom, although I actually borrowed the dress from a friend. Doesn't anyone ever miss the big hair look? Don't I look taller with 2 inch bangs?

I wish you still had that dress I would wear it

Seriously!

As one of Cassy's college roommates, I have many pictures that look just like that and remember Cassy looking BEAUTIFUL in the late 80s early 90s.

Oh bless - that's the Cassie I remember (or the version a few years later)!

She would have fit right in at the concert I went to last week--an 80s cover band called the Legwarmers. Not only was it a great concert the people watching was spectacular.
